FC Nordsjælland confirmed the deal on Monday and announced that Ola Solbakken has signed a four-year contract with the club.
"Ola is an exciting attacking player who has played for the Norwegian national team, along with players such as Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard, and Alexander Sorloth. His preferred position is as a right forward, but he also covers several positions in the attack."
"He has some really good physical skills and will add more speed and depth to our game, both in the established game and to a certain extent also in the attacking transitions", says FC Nordsjaelland football director Alexander Riget to the club's website.
Solbakken has struggled to break into the starting eleven at Roma, and for the past two seasons, he has been loaned out to Olympiacos, Urawa Red Diamonds, and Empoli.
The 26-year-old Norwegian says that FC Nordjælland was not the only club interested.
"I had many options to choose from, but I had no doubt that it was the right move for me to come to FC Nordsjælland, because I feel there is a really good match" says Solbakken to the FC Nordsjaelland website.
