Norwich City 'looking into an Instagram post by Brandon Williams' after reports he was followed home

Norwich City are reportedly investigating an Instagram post by Brandon Williams after the defender appeared to warn fans following claims they followed him home.

The on-loan Manchester United star played in the Canaries' 4-0 loss against West Ham on Sunday and responded to the allegations that supporters had tried to visit his property with two strong messages on social media.

He pictured himself giving the middle finger while at home on his story with the caption 'What a beautiful day. Easy up Norwich City.'

Williams then posted a picture of his dog outside in the garden - writing: 'To all the fans who followed me home he's always awake.'

He also posted a handful of laughing emojis, before uploading a photo of his second dog, with the caption: 'She's always awake too.'

His club are now looking into the social media posts, according to the Athletic.

Williams joined Norwich last summer in a deal until the end of the season and has been one of their most impressive players in this campaign - featuring 29 times after establishing himself as the first choice left-back under boss Dean Smith.

However, he was not able to prevent the club's relegation to the Championship, which was confirmed after last week's 2-0 loss to Aston Villa.

Some fans have shown sentiment towards Williams despite his recent allegations, with a group pictured holding up a banner asking him to stay with the club next season to help them fight for instant promotion.
