Milan have announced they have signed Sergino Dest on loan from Barcelona.
Dest is a player that Barcelona have been seeking to move on for much of the summer transfer window.
Rumours late in the window suggested that he could head to Manchester United in a swap deal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but instead he heads to Serie A, where he will turn out for the Rossoneri.
A statement on the Serie A side's website read: "AC Milan is pleased to announce that Sergiño Gianni Dest has joined the Club on loan from Barcelona FC, with an option to buy.
"Born in Almere in the Netherlands on 3 November 2002, Dest came through the youth ranks at Ajax and made his first-team debut in 2019. In total, he made 38 appearances for the Dutch side scoring two goals, and winning a Dutch Supercup. In 2020, he joined Barcelona FC notching up 72 appearances and scoring two goals; he also won a Spanish Cup. As per the national team, he has 17 appearances and 3 goals for the USA, winning the Concacaf Nations League 2019/20."
