If the two teams finish the season with the same number of points, a title-deciding playoff could be required. Meanwhile, Inter are scheduled to play in the UEFA Champions League final on May 31, which has led to scheduling conflicts and disagreements between the clubs regarding the timing of the last round of matches.
These issues have now been resolved. Napoli will face Cagliari and Inter will take on Como on Friday evening at 19:45, while the other eight matches of the final round will be played on Sunday, May 25.
This decision was made after a league council meeting held on Monday morning. The meeting was initially suspended due to continued disagreements over the schedule for the final week of the season. After discussions resumed, the final agreement was reached to separate the fixtures accordingly.
