Paris Saint-Germain are back in the running for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, despite reports Manchester United were the favourites.

According to Calciomercato.com, contacts between the two clubs have intensified over the last couple of days.

PSG had almost ruled themselves out of the race, as did Barcelona, leaving Manchester United as the most likely candidates.

However, it’s reported Leonardo was just getting other priorities sorted out first and is now ready to ramp up negotiations for the Senegal international centre-back.

Although the €100m price-tag has dropped a little, it’s still believed Koulibaly won’t be allowed to move for under €70m, with President Aurelio De Laurentiis aiming for €90m.

De Laurentiis claimed he had rejected an offer worth over €120m last year.
