Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly plotting an audacious swoop for Juventus star and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's future is on the agenda following Juventus' shock Champions League exit against Porto, and the Portuguese star and the Italian giants could decide that a parting of ways is best for both parties.
Ronaldo will have been frustrated with yet another underwhelming campaign in the Champions League with Juventus - having not reached past the quarter finals for a third season running. And the Serie A outfit will be wanting to free up funds given his astronomical salary of £28m-per-year.
And according to Le Parisien, PSG are closely monitoring Ronaldo's situation in Turin ahead of the summer transfer window.
In the event that Kylian Mbappe decides to leave the Parc des Princes, PSG would reportedly look to sign either Ronaldo or his great football rival Lionel Messi whose Barcelona future is far from certain.
And with Ronaldo's Juventus deal expiring in the summer of 2022, the Portuguese international's name is on the agenda for PSG's board members.
PSG's pursuit of Ronaldo may be helped significantly by his agent Jorge Mendes' relationship with the club's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
The pair regularly remain in contact - with their relationship dating back to 2015 when the Portuguese agent was largely responsible for helping build a succession plan in Paris the year before Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure.
The Le Parisien report also claims that Mendes and Al-Khelaifi regularly text each other, and even do video calls with one another.
Following Juve's Champions League exit, Ronaldo's future in Turin has become a big talking point.
Ronaldo was brought in to help Juventus capture the Champions League crown, but in truth they have gone backwards in Europe since he arrived in 2018.
Ronaldo was at fault for the decisive goal against Porto scored by Sergio Oliveira as he turned his back on his free-kick that went underneath him - a moment which saw him damned by Italian press the next morning.
Corriere dello Sport used the headline 'Betrayed by Ronaldo' on their front page on Wednesday morning, suggesting that the Portuguese should have blocked the shot which squeezed past Wojciech Szczesny and into the bottom corner.
Ronaldo will be turning 37 next season and time is running out for him to help deliver the biggest prize of all to Juventus, and with his astronomical wages, his time at the Allianz Stadium could soon be coming to an end.
