PSG superstar Mbappe leaves door open for future switch to the MLS

Kylian Mbappe is one of the finest players in the world and is not even in the prime of his career - but that has not stopped the 20-year-old suggesting he could finish his career in the United States.

The MLS has long been seen as a destination for European players at the end of their careers and while that is still a long way off for the Paris Saint-Germain striker, Mbappe is not ruling out a future switch.

There is worldwide interest in Mbappe this summer with Real Madrid believed to be front of the queue, if PSG opt to cash in on their star striker.

And while the MLS appears an unlikely destination for now, the success of players like Andrea Pirlo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the US keeps the Trans-Atlantic move enticing.

'We don't know what happens in football,' Mbappe told ESPN .

'Now in the USA, a lot of great players come after their careers in Europe, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo, great players.

'You don't know what can happen, maybe when I'm a little older I can think about this.'
