Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says it “would be crazy” not to play Harry Kane against Inter.
The English striker has looked out of sorts at the start of the season, scoring only twice in his last 10 games for club and country.
“I think we would be crazy to think different. Yes,” Pochettino responded when Sky Sports UK asked if he’d play Kane at San Siro.
“I don't know what you expect from me, or what you think my answer should be. He's one of the best strikers in the world.
“He's going to score goals and he's going to perform in the way we want and we expect. No problem.”
Pochettino also spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about the match, which both teams come into on the back of a defeat, Spurs going down to Liverpool on Saturday.
“I wasn’t getting carried away after three wins in a row and I’m not depressed now. We might have lost against Liverpool, but we ran and fought until the end.
“Inter are a great team with great history and returning to the Champions League will definitely provide special motivation.
“Mauro Icardi? We know his quality very well. As for Lautaro Martinez, he’s a crack, a lad who will go far.”
