Police wade into the Crystal Palace end to confiscate a drum from away fans

Police officers were pictured wading into the Crystal Palace end at the Emirates Stadium and were pictured confiscating a drum from the away supporters, ahead of the Eagles' Premier League clash against Arsenal.

Swathes of officers wearing high-vis jackets were spotted entering the away end, before officers were pictured taking a drum away from the travelling supporters ahead of kick-off.

Some questioned the move online, with one X (formerly Twitter) user writing: '25 odd Police to confiscate a drum.'

Arsenal took the lead inside 11 minutes of the game, with Gabriel heading in a corner from Declan Rice to give the hosts an early lead.

But despite confiscating the instrument, a drum beat was still heard during the early parts of the game at the Emirates Stadium.
