Real Madrid & Adidas to extend partnership to 2028

  /  autty

After years of negotiations, intensifying in the past few months, Real Madrid and Adidas have come to an agreement to extend their partnership until 2028.

A multi-million-euro agreement will be made official this week and make sponsorship of the famous white shirt the most expensive in the world, earning the club 120 million euros per season, a new world record.

It is a landmark deal in economic terms with an extraordinary revenue for the club, which is key in an era of expensive signings and the redevelopment of a new stadium, even if that is being paid for by a loan.

The kit for next season should be announced by the end of May or in early June, once LaLiga Santander has come to a close.

The relationship between Adidas and Real Madrid has existed since 1998 continuously, although the team first wore shirts created by the company in 1981.

That year was the first time a sports kit wore the three stripes on the sleeve and Adidas continued until 1986, to be replaced by Hummel until 1994 and then Kelme between 1994 and 1998.
