Torino have told Roma they need to pay €35m to sign Cameroon international defender Nicolas Nkoulou.
He was purchased from Olympique Lyonnais for a total €4m and made a big impression on the Granata.
According to Sportitalia and Tuttosport, Roma have identified Nkoulou as a valuable addition to the squad, but were put off by the €35m asking price.
It is still cheaper than his Toro teammate Armando Izzo, who had also been linked with a move to Roma.
Izzo is valued at over €50m, partly due to the competition from English clubs including Arsenal and Tottenham.
