Chelsea news: Levi Colwill will return to the Blues ahead of the 2023/24 season following an excellent loan spell at Brighton
Despite Chelsea losing 4-1 on Thursday, to many supporters that was not the most disappointing thing to take place that evening. That is because Levi Colwill, who presents significant hope for the future, chose to post a photo of himself and former Blues man Billy Gilmour on social media just minutes after Manchester United had completed their demolition of his parent club.
His choices on Thursday evening have not gone down well at all with the Chelsea fanbase though and while some may be reactionary verdicts filled with anger, supporters seemed to make their feelings perfectly clear.
@FutbolCheIsea - I think that’s a poor tweet from Levi Colwill. Disrespectful and unprofessional to the club that has nurtured him from a young age and helped him become the player that he is. Do better, @levi_colwill
@tovers98 - That tweet from Levi Colwill is legitimately more disappointing than the result tonight.
@JoshlbCFC - Sell him, that may be worse than lukaku, weve done nothing but praise colwill. Use the funds to bring me Caicedo, and ALSO buy ugarte
@kennaz_ - Levi Colwill isn't that good if we're being honest...just another Tino Livramento
@Yaser_moha - Kid you think you are prime Maldini ? Who are you to disrespect the club that took care of you since you were a little kid? We have better options in LCB now and in the future anyway.
@FelixJohnston_ - This is very poor… Incredibly disrespectful. I’m literally Levi’s biggest supporter too, everyone knows that, but this ain’t it at all. Have some self-awareness.
@dagi_nyaga - Players are no longer proud of their parent club
@ObjectiveLee_ - Obviously doesn't look great with the context, but no need to read too much into it. It's just him posting a picture with a mate. Not an intentional hit at us
