AC Milan overcame Irish minnows Shamrock Rovers 2-0 on Thursday night in the Europa League qualifying second round thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Hakan Calhanoglu.
It was the stuff of dreams for Shamrock to be hosting one of Europe's old elite clubs but after 23 minutes, Ibrahimovic made sure there was no surprise in order after netting the opener.
And their hopes were killed off midway through the second half after Calhanoglu doubled the visitors lead and seal their progression in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
