Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he would only go back for Milan, who have ‘always been the team of my heart’.

Boateng enjoyed two spells at Milan between 2010 and 2016, his first being the most successful as he won a Scudetto in 2011.

“I’d like to end my career at Hertha Berlin, where it all started,” the attacker told Sportweek.

“To end with a round of applause in midfield at the Olympiastadion is my objective.

“But if you ask me where I’d like to go back, I’ll always and only say Milan. Milan have always been the team of my heart.”

The 33-year-old is currently on loan at Besiktas from Fiorentina, so how much longer does he see himself playing at a competitive level?

“I’ve played many games in my career, people still remember my goal at Barcelona or my hat-trick against Lecce.

“I can still play for the best clubs in the world: some days I’m tired, others I don’t feel like playing, but in my head I’m stronger than many others.

“I think I can still play at a high level for two more seasons: after that it will be one or three. It’ll depend on many things.”
