Paris Saint-Germain came up short again in the Champions League as Bayern Munich knocked them out.

Germany international Thomas Muller says Bayern Munich were in control and superior to Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League encounter.

Muller stated this moment after Bayern knocked Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League following a 2-0 win in the round of 16 second-leg tie on Wednesday.

Cameroonian forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Serge Gnabry were the heroes of the night as Bayern ended Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League dream again after a 3-0 aggregate win.

Bayern deserved to win

Speaking after the Champions League match, veteran forward, Muller, was his usual self and said that his Bayern side was in control and deserved to win.

According to the man of the match winner, the Bavarians had to suffer, however and defended well against the Lionel Messi-led Paris Saint-Germain.

“In a game like that, there are always moments when you need to suffer and create a little luck,” Muller told UEFA.

“We were more controlled in our defending in the second half. We played the better game and ultimately deserved to win.”
