According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Torino is seeking reinforcements in the transfer market to strengthen its midfield. Davide Abate, the former AC Milan player now coaching Torino, hopes to address some of the squad's weaknesses, particularly in central midfield.

One of the names on Torino's radar is Facundo Bernal. The Uruguayan midfielder, born in 2003, currently plays for Fluminense as a defensive midfielder. In 2024, he made 18 appearances for the Brazilian club, providing 2 assists.
According to Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte, Bernal is among the targets Torino is considering for next season, though he is not the only player Abate is evaluating. The 22-year-old from Montevideo is under contract with the Rio de Janeiro club until summer 2028.
Meanwhile, Torino is also monitoring Matteo Cancellieri. The club has set its sights on the Lazio winger, who made 35 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
