Transfer rumours LIVE

This is the start of our transfer rumours blog, with the most recent updates being the ones closest to the top.

12:30 GMT: Balotelli an option for Newcastle

Adana Demirspor president Murat Sancak has declared that Newcastle United are interested in signing Mario Balotelli, who only joined the Turkish club last summer and penned a three-year deal.

"Newcastle are assessing the player even though they have made no official offers. There is a release clause in the contract, but I cannot reveal the amount," said Sancak.

11:30 GMT: Dortmund CEO responds to Haaland

Erling Haaland claimed last Friday that Borussia Dortmund have put pressure on him to tell them what his plans are beyond the end of the season, whether that is penning a new contract or moving elsewhere, but the club's CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has said this is not true.

"The truth is that we were surprised by that statement because we had not yet spoken. To say that Dortmund would give Haaland an ultimatum is nonsense. There is no deadline," Watzke told ARD.

11:00 GMT: More interest in Eriksen

Brentford have made an offer to Christian Eriksen, who is currently a free agent after his contract was rescinded at Inter due to Serie A's rules on playing with a heart-starting device, but the Bees could face competition for his future. This is because some clubs in the Bundesliga have contacted Eriksen's agent to try and encourage him to make the move to Germany.

10:30 GMT: Bayern's Lewandowski plan

Bayern Munich intend to either tie Robert Lewandowski down to a new contract, but if he turns that down, they will look to sell him next summer, say Bild. The 33-year-old's contract expires in the summer of 2023.

10:00 GMT: Juventus identify Arthur replacement

Arthur Melo has moved one step closer to joining Arsenal on loan, as Sky Italia report that Juventus have set their sights on Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria as the ideal replacement for the Brazilian. Zakaria's contract comes to an end in the summer, so he is available for a cut-price fee this month.

09:30 GMT: Diego Carlos agreement with Newcastle

Newcastle United have reached an agreement on personal terms with Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos, according to the journalist Fabrizio Romano. Sevilla have turned down a bid worth 35 million euros for the Brazilian.

09:00 GMT: Could Wass join Atletico Madrid?

Valencia are confident that Atletico Madrid will increase their bid for Daniel Wass, who is into the last six months of his contract at Mestalla, the journalist Alex Silvestre declared on 'El Chiringuito'.

08:30 GMT: Gerrard wants to bring Suarez to England

Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez has turned down offers from Palmeiras, Corinthians and Atletico Mineiro, plus one from Saudi Arabia, as he wants to focus on a proposal from Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa, according to the journalist Gerard Romero.

08:00 GMT: Confidence regarding Mbappe to Real Madrid

Josep Pedrerol, the host of the popular Spanish TV show 'El Chiringuito', has declared his confidence that Real Madrid will sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe on a free next summer.

"I assure you that Mbappe will play for Real Madrid next season... and if not, I will resign," said Pedrerol.
