Chelsea vs Aston Villa
Chelsea are looking to continue their fine start to the 2021/22 campaign on Saturday vs Aston Villa.
The Blues will head into the day’s early kick-off unbeaten in four outings and having already secured silverware in the form of the UEFA Super Cup.
In the Premier League, meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel’s side dominated both Crystal Palace and Arsenal to pick up three and two-nil wins.
The Londoners then took on Liverpool before the international break and, despite going down to 10 men right before half-time, were able to keep the Reds at bay to come away with a huge 1-1 draw at Anfield.
Chelsea must now turn their attentions to a Villa side who are set to be without both Emiliano Martinez and Emi Buendia this week after the pair travelled to red-listed Argentina during the break.

Thomas Tuchel on Lukaku, Kante & Pulisic
Before Saturday’s game, Thomas Tuchel spoke to the press on Friday and gave updates on several players.
Romelu Lukaku confirmed earlier this week that he was set to have a scan on his thigh, whilst Christian Pulisic limped out of a USMNT match vs Honduras:
And, when speaking to the media on Friday, the German confirmed that both N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic are out of the Villa tie, with Pulisic expected to be out for about 10 days with an ankle injury:
“We have two players out: N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic. N’Golo still suffers a little bit. We will try for N’Golo on Tuesday. That’s looks good. Christian came yesterday on crutches. He has an ankle injury with about ten days.”
Lukaku, on the other hand, looks to be fine, with Tuchel stating that there is no problem with the striker:
“He came back two days ago. He trained yesterday and today no problem at all.”
