Italy U-21 beat Ireland 2-0 with goals came courtesy of Riccardo Sottil and Patrick Cutrone and make a further step towards the European Championship.
The team of the Azzurrini, however, was only composed by four members of the Under 21 squad: Sandro Tonali, Patrick Cutrone, Riccardo Sottil and Samuele Ricci as seven players tested positive for Coronavirus in the previous days.
The rest of the team was made by players of the Under 20 squad, including the coach Alberto Bollini who replaced the U-21 tactician Paolo Nicolato.
Sottil’s scored at the end of the first half and Cutrone netted the second after the hour mark.
