AC Milan endured a difficult 2024/25 season, eliminated from the Champions League at the knockout phase playoffs and falling to 8th in the Serie A standings.
But it was another positive season, on a personal note, for Christian Pulisic. The USMNT star finished as the team’s top goalscorer with 17 goals in all competitions and he could soon be joined in Milan an his international teammates.
Tuttosport reports that Milan have added Tyler Adams to the list of potential candidates as they look to strengthen in midfielder. There have been moves to prise Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge but the Belgian side are reluctant to part with the 22-year-old.
As well as Pulisic, Milan already have Yunus Musah in the squad and there is the possibility that they could bring together the three US players in Italy.
Adams currently plays for Bournemouth, who he joined in a $23 million deal in 2023. He was named the club’s Player of the Month for February 2025 but his time on the south coast of England has been beset by injuries.
Nevertheless, Adams has been a consistent performer when available and remains a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s national team. He was named the USMNT captain for the 2022 World Cup, making him the youngest captain at the tournament.
In the past Adams was a target for Chelsea, when Pochettino was in charge of the London club. His stock has fallen slightly since then, largely due to injury, but he could add real energy and dynamism to a Milan team that stagnated last season.
Adams usually plays as a defensive midfielder for the USMNT, while Pulisic tends to play as an attacking, creative midfielder. It’s no wonder the Milan star gets on so well with Adams with the national team and they could be an effective link-up in Italy.
