Keinan Davis has ignited controversy in Serie A after accusing Alberto Dossena of making a racist remark during Udinese\u2019s clash with Cagliari on Saturday.
The incident took place late in the game, with the Englishman reacting angrily and calling on the referee to intervene over what he described as unacceptable language from an opponent.
Davis was initially shown a yellow card for his protests before the booking was withdrawn after the official understood the seriousness of the complaint.
He took to social media to publicly accuse Dossena and urge Serie A authorities to take firm action over the alleged incident.
“This racist coward today me called monkey during the game. I hope that Serie A does something on this, but we'll see,” Davis wrote.
