Walter Mazzarri has been named new coach of Napoli.
Mazzarri replaces Rudi Garcia, who was dismissed after the home defeat to Empoli on the weekend.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis confirmed Mazzarri's appointment on social media.
De Laurentiis turned to Mazzarri after pulling out of talks with Igor Tudor on Tuesday.
Mazzarri has signed with the Azzurri to the end of the season.
It marks a return to Napoli for the veteran, who was in charge between 2009 and 2013 and won the Coppa Italia during his time in Naples.
