TF1 have revealed that Warren Zaïre-Emery (17) is expected to receive his first call-up to the France national team later this month.

Les Bleus manager Didier Deschamps revealed during the last international break that Zaïre-Emery was very much on his radar and nearing his first call-up. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has not only consolidated his place in the starting XI at club level this season but also received his first U21 call-up. He has since been named captain by Thierry Henry and a step-up to the senior side is an inevitability.

Aurélien Tchouaméni, who suffered an injury during Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona, is set to miss out on the squad, opening the door for Zaïre-Emery’s first call-up. Deschamps will name his squad for the matches against Gibraltar (18th November) and Greece (21st November) on 9th November and according to TF1, PSG’s Zaïre-Emery will be included for the first time. Quite the meteoric rise for the Parisien academy product.
