L’Équipe report that PSG’s pursuit of a striker is shifting focus to Juventus’ Serbian international Dušan Vlahović, after the French club baulked at Napoli’s demands for Victor Osimhen, decided to play the waiting game for Harry Kane, and chose not to pursue Randal Kolo Muani.
As a result, the 23-year-old may be PSG’s most attainable striker signing this summer, with Juventus willing to let the former Fiorentina player leave this window, despite having signed him for €80m just 18 months ago. However, the Italian club is looking to recoup most, if not all, of that fee.
PSG have already begun talks regarding the deal and the player’s potential salary. However, similar to their pursuit of other targets – especially Kane and Kolo Muani – Paris face competition from Bayern Munich, who are also in need of a number nine and rank Vlahović as their second priority, just behind Kane, on their list. The sports daily reports that given the difficulties surrounding other deals, the Serbian could quickly become the Ligue 1 club’s top choice.
Vlahović scored 10 times in 27 Serie A games last season for Juventus.
