Hello again, the FIFA World Cup is finally here! After every round of the tournament, we will bring you an updated power rankings, telling you who is in form, who is out of form and who is ready to win the greatest sporting event on Earth.

This third round edition is based on each side's FIFA world rankings, third round form and overall squad strength. Let's get into it.

GERMANY ARE OUT

World Cup defending champions dumped out of group stages again. Will the curse continue to 2022?

10. Russia

Hosts Russia failed to bag home a third consecutive win as they were defeated 3-0 by Luis Suarez's Uruguay.

9. Portugal

Ricardo Quaresma's sensational trivela strike earned Portugal a 1-1 draw with Iran, finishing second in Group B. But Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 4 goals in the inizial 94 minutes, missed a VAR-conceded penalty which could value 3 points.

8. Argentina

Argentina headed into the World Cup knockout rounds to set up France tie by eliminating solid Nigeria. Lionel Messi's stunner and Marcos Rojo's last-gasp winner inspired the much-expected miracle.

7. Uruguay

Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani scored to help Uruguay top Group A with a deserving 3-0 victory over 10-man hosts Russia.

6. France

Yes, Didier Deschamps' side did top Group C.

The slow, dull, creativeless goalless draw between France and Denmark however, was one of the most boring matches we have EVER watched.

5. England

England qualified as runners-up in Group G and booked a World Cup last-16 date with Colombia despite losing 1-0 to Belgium.

4. Croatia

Three games, three victories.

3.Spain

Spain finished top in Group B with a pulsating 2-2 draw against Morocco, during which super-sub Iago Aspas scored an injury-time equaliser.

2. Belgium

Belgium sealed first place in Group G beating England 1-0 with Adnan Januzaj stunner. The Red Devils will face Japan in last 16 after completing three consecutive victories in group stage.

1. Brazil

Brazil topped Group E with a 2-0 victory over Serbia and will face Mexico in last 16 rounds. Paulinho & Thiago Silva both bagged home their first goal at this World Cup to seal a convincing win for Selecao.
