Roma forward Nicolò Zaniolo’s return to the pitch has reportedly been postponed for three to four weeks and the youngster seems set to miss out on Euro 2020.
Zaniolo visited professor Fink in Austria yesterday and Tuttomercatoweb reveals the knee is fine, but still lacks 10 per cent strength compared to the other leg.
The attacking midfielder’s rehabilitation process has been slowed down by the COVID-19 infection and in these days Zaniolo will resume working with the Primavera squad.
But his return to the pitch has been postponed for three to four weeks, according to the report and he could be back for the last two games in Serie A.
Zaniolo was hoping to be back in time to claim a place in Italy CT Roberto Mancini’s squad for the European Championship this summer, but his participation seems highly unlikely at this point.
