The 49ers Enterprises takeover at Leeds could be completed THIS WEEK

Leeds United and the 49ers Enterprises are inching closer to a takeover agreement after productive talks on Monday.

It is hoped a resolution could be reached before the end of this week with the 49ers valuing the club closer to £170million following relegation to the Championship.

Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani apologised to supporters following their drop from the Premier League and said there was a need for change. He has since seen his Aser Company consortium complete a successful takeover of Italian side Sampdoria.

That is understood to have been a significant step, indicating that he was still willing to pass over control of Leeds to the 49ers Enterprises who already owned a 44 percent stake in the club.

Leeds have been sounding out candidates to succeed Sam Allardyce as manager and want to appoint a new director of football to fill the void left by Victor Orta's departure.

Those appointments will proceed once the takeover is ratified in the coming days.
