Aguero: If Alvarez is unhappy, Atletico should let him leave; he would thrive at Barcelona

After the match against Austria, Alvarez stated that he wanted to leave Atletico Madrid, and Aguero shared his thoughts on this in an interview with Jijantes.

Aguero said: "The club won't comment on anything, and the player has no choice but to be honest. He said he's met with the club, and both parties agree that a transfer is the best option."

"If I were the club and a player was unhappy in the city, or for any other reason—dissatisfaction with teammates or the coach—if he feels uncomfortable, the best way is to find a solution and sell him."

"You can't have a player with a bad attitude all year round. If he feels uncomfortable, the club must help him; that's how I see it. When a player is unhappy, every club will take the stance they want, but in the end, it's always the player who suffers."

"He can adapt to many clubs, but he would thrive at Barcelona because his playing style suits them perfectly. He's a very good player who can play any attacking position and has comprehensive attacking abilities."

"It's good to have such a player. He's an offensive player—a winger, striker, attacking midfielder—versatile; you can use him when other players are injured."
