Bale tells Madrid he'll be on pre-season tour as he refuses to leave (SER)

Gareth Bale and his agent have reportedly told Real Madrid the player is going nowhere this summer as he prepares for pre-season.

The Wales international has three years left on his current Bernabeu deal and is in no rush to walk away from his £650,000-a-week contract in the Spanish capital.

Despite the arrivals of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Rodrygo, all of whom are expected to challenge for forward berths, Spanish outlet Cadena Ser report Bale and his representatives have made their stance clear.

Zinedine Zidane is undergoing a major overhaul this summer, having already recruited five players, a staggering £344million worth of talent.

Zidane and the Bernabeu top brass will have hoped to offload some of their top stars to free up some room on the wage bill.

His three reaming years in Madrid will see him rake in an incredible £101m in wages, a deal the player would find difficult to come by anywhere else.

Bale is certainly a player who would ease the club's financial burden should he leave, however the winger appears insistent on seeing out the next year of his contract.

Manchester United and Tottenham have expressed interest in taking the player in the past, but Bale looks set to fight for his place in what now seems a bloated Real Madrid squad.

His high demands might also put the English clubs off, which could pave the way for Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain to table a bid during this window
