Jude Bellingham has described joining Real Madrid as the 'proudest day of his life' after being presented by the Spanish giants following his £113m move from Borussia Dortmund.

The England star finally completed his stunning move to the Bernabeu on Wednesday, after Real fought off competition from across Europe for the midfielder's signature.

‘I just want to say thank you everyone in the room and watching online for joining me for the proudest day of my life as I join the greatest football club in the history of the game,' Bellingham said.

‘There are a lot of people to thank for getting me to this point.

Borussia Dortmund, Birmingham City, the people who work there.

'Also the people who work here, the president, Juni Calafat, JAS, the bosses, directors and of course my family for all the support and making the deal as easy as possible.

‘Thank you very much and finally Hala Madrid.’

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hailed the signing of Bellingham, claiming he is 'one of the best players in the world'.

Perez praised Bellingham for his ambition for choosing Real Madrid over other suitors.

‘Today is an exciting day for Madridistas and a great day in general for football fans,' Perez said.

‘Jude is here because he wanted it, he could’ve gone to any other club but he chose to be here. So welcome and thank you for your ambition.
