Alexandre Lacazette has rubbished claims that he has contacted Antoine Griezmann and Koke over a potential summer switch to Atletico Madrid.

A report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed that Atletico were eyeing Lacazette as a potential replacement for Diego Costa, who has struggled for form this season.

The 31-year-old has just one year left on his current deal and, after returning just two goals in 19 appearances in all competitions, the club are said to be willing to sell him in the summer or let him leave on a free in 2021.

The report also stated that Lacazette had spoken to former Atletico team-mates Griezmann and Koke about playing for Atletico and living in the Spanish capital.

In response to a post on Twitter about the rumour, Lacazette's management team, Score Agencies, wrote: "Twitter is magic !!!! It's not nice to lie to fans of the @ Atleti"

The player himself then addressed the speculation, labelling the reports "Not beautiful at all" and adding four 'lying face' emojis.

Lacazette is not the only Arsenal forward to have been linked with a move away from the Emirates, with Gunners captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang yet to agree a new deal with the club.
