Memphis Depay celebrated his 29th birthday on February 13 in style, with the Dutch star dropping a brand new single to celebrate his new age as well as his new club Atletico Madrid.
Depay signed for Atletico in the January transfer window after seeing regular minutes hard to come by under Xavi at Barcelona, and with the Catalan club also keen to get him off their wage bill.
The footballer who is also a musician has now released a fresh single which he shared with his fans on social media.

Depay released a new single titled ‘Asem Baba’ to celebrate adding a new year.
The 29-year-old Netherlands international who is of Ghanaian descent took to his social media page to announce his new single with a post that read: “f*ck the politics, you know that $hit can’t break me! New age, New club @atleticodemadrid, New goals, New music, same me,13feb1994, Asem Beba out now.”
Asem Baba' which is Ghanaian for ‘Trouble is coming’ is a 2 minutes 36 minutes rap song in which the footballer and musician speaks about his motivation to succeed despite whatever situation he’s faced with.
Depay began the song with the lyrics: “Most underrated, while I give my generation the most motivation.
“Sh** kinda outrageous how they tryna portray me….” ( seemingly aimed towards his former club Barcelona following the constant speculation over his future last season, having turned down much more lucrative offers to be at the Spotify Camp Nou).
Then he goes ahead to say “...From people that don’t even know me but they call me crazy.”
The song which was also accompanied by the visuals sees the Atletico forward dressed in a stylish formal outfit as he recounts his winter move to the Madrid club.
