Following an illustrious career at Bayern Munich where the Frenchman established a club-record 24 titles, Frank Ribery joins Fiorentina on free transfer.
Ribery reportedly signs a 2-year deal with the Italian side with a salary worth approximately 4 million euros per year.
“I’m happy, I’m here with my family,” he said after his arrival in Italy.
“I’ve talked to Fiorentina for the past week, as well as with Toni (former Bayern teammate), who told me Fiorentina were a great club in a beautiful city.
“I’m happy because I like being here, even the language. My grasp of it isn’t perfect, but it’s all good.”
The former France winger recently called time on a 12-year-old spell with Bayern, where he won a record nine Bundesliga titles and the Champions League.
