In 1999, Trippier started his career in the youth system at Manchester City but failed to make the breakthrough to the first team... In 2011, he signed for Burnley. In 2015, he signed for Tottenham Hotspur for a £3.5 million fee. Having made 114 appearances for the club in all competitions, he left for Atlético Madrid in 2019, becoming Atlético's first English player in 95 years.
