Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez has flown out to America to join up with Jose Mourinho's squad for the remainder of their summer tour.
United tweeted a picture of Sanchez from their official account. The image showed him on a plane and was accompanied by the message: '@Alexis_Sanchez is en route to #MUTOUR.'
The Chilean playmaker had been unable to travel when the rest of his team-mates earlier this week due to visa complications.
Sanchez accepted a suspended sentence for tax fraud in Spain in February and his conviction prevented him entering the US.
However, the visa issue has since been resolved and Sanchez is likely to feature in United's next game — against San Jose Earthquakes in Santa Clara on Sunday.
'It is not about when he can play, but when he has to,' said Mourinho, who used Anthony Martial, Juan Mata and finally 16-year-old Mason Greenwood up front in the opening game against Club America.
'We have no players and especially in attack. Thursday was Martial and when Martial left the pitch it was Mata. When Mata went to the sides, it was a kid who has trained with us for the first time in this pre-season.'
Other than goalkeeper Sergio Romero, none of the United players who featured at the World Cup are currently available to Mourinho.
He added: 'No (Romelu) Lukaku, no (Marcus) Rashford, not here and probably not for the start of the Premier League.
'So it's about when Alexis lands and when he lands he has to play because he trained with us five days before we depart to LA and we left one fitness coach behind with him. Of course, it's individual training but when he arrives he has to play.'
United began their summer schedule with a 1-1 draw against Club America in Phoenix on Thursday night.
After taking on San Jose, the level of opposition goes up a notch, with games against AC Milan, Liverpool, Real Madrid and then Barcelona.
