Milan defender Ignazio Abate will reportedly be offered a new contract.
According to Tuttosport, Milan have been impressed by Abate’s recent run as a centre-back, so an extension ‘can’t be ruled out’.
The 32-year-old is a right-back by trade but captained Rossoneri in central defence against Lazio and Parma.
The former Italy international returned to San Siro in 2009 and has gone on to make 294 appearances for the Diavolo, winning a Scudetto and Supercoppa.
