Barca 'happy for Inter to raise fee for Lautaro if they can pay in instalments'

Barcelona are trying to convince Inter to accept a super offer for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, according to a report from today's paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine forward is the dream of Barcelona, with even club legend Lionel Messi talking highly of the player in an interview recently. The player is protected by a €111 million release clause which is valid for the first two weeks of July, a figure that the Blaugrana don't want to pay in one lump sum.

The Catalan club are trying to convince Inter to raise the figure but allow it to be paid in installments, the report continues which could mean that the overall fee could rise up to €150 million.

Inter have now begun considering alternatives to Lautaro, with options including Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann and Manchester United's Anthony Martial, a deal more easily facilitated considering the recent history between the English club and the Nerazzurri.
