Borussia Dortmund join the queue of clubs after Paco Alcacer

Paco Alcacer is still looking to resolve his future. The striker wasn't included in Barcelona's first LaLiga squad of the season and Ernesto Valverde doesn't see a future for him at the club. Barça are searching for a solution and hope to be able to find Alcacer a new home before the summer window closes.

Alongside previously reported interest from Real Betis and Alaves, Borussia Dortmund have now joined the race for the striker's signature. According to 'L'Equipe', Dortmund coach Lucien Favre has asked for another forward and Alcacer's name is on their list of desired targets.

If the deal happens, which would initially be a loan, the former Valencia man will leave the Camp Nou this summer. Barça were desperate to sell Alcacer but couldn't find a buyer willing to match their asking price so must now consider loan offers. Paco's high wages were one of the main obstacles to concluding a transfer as the striker wasn't willing to take a wage cut to join another side.
