MATHEUS CUNHA is enjoying some time off with friends and family before starting pre-season with Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has been spending time in his native Brazil during his summer break.

Ahead of his first pre-season with new club United, the winger has kept himself busy with different hobbies.

He updated fans with his whereabouts on social media this week, sharing photos of him surfing, playing footvolley and hanging out with friends.

Cunha also shared a picture of himself meeting a group of young football fans in the community.

He even enjoyed a helicopter ride along the coast during his time off, captioning the post with: "A little bit of everything."

Cunha will join his new Man Utd team-mates at Carrington next Monday for the start of pre-season training.

The winger completed his £62.5million move to Old Trafford last month.

He will have a huge job lifting the Red Devils after a 15th-place finish in their worst season for over 50 years.

Upon his arrival, he said: "It is the most common phrase that you can say at this moment, but this is the dream come true.

"Maybe outside, I think maybe my decision, they don’t understand.

"But when you have always dreamed to play here, it’s easier to pick this decision.

"For me, no one else is like United. Of course, I know it’s been a hard season for everyone.

"I think my decision shows what this club is for me, and what I believe this club can be."
