Man United Enter Race for Mike Maignan Previously Linked With Chelsea

Man United are reported eyeing a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea over the summer.

The 30-year-old was understood to have agreed personal terms ahead of a move to Chelsea, but the West London club were unwilling to match AC Milan’s £25 million asking price.

Now, according to TalkSPORT, Ruben Amorim’s side have entered the race to sign Maignan, who could be available in a cut-price deal due to his contract situation.

Maignan is out of contract at AC Milan at the end of the 2025-26 season with talks over a new deal not going well.

United are hoping to overhaul the goalkeeping position having already signed Senne Lammens from Belgian side Royal Antwerp.

Andre Onana, who was shipped out to Trabzonspor after Lammens’ arrival, is unlikely to play for United again, while doubts over Altay Bayindir remain.
