Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is set to leave the side this January as he seeks game time elsewhere.

Napoli will attempt to sign Man Utd outcast Mainoo again in the January transfer window as they seek to draw away the midfielder who has been phased out by manager Ruben Amorim since the start of the season.
Mainoo, 21, has not started a Premier League match since May and his only start this term for United was in the League Cup defeat at fourth-tier Grimsby Town in August.
His small cameo against Brighton last weekend was less than impressive, and Amorim is unlikely to hand him any game time going forward, as the Portuguese manager pushed him further to the exit.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the success of McTominay and Hojlund for the Serie A leaders makes it a “guarantee” that a bid for Mainoo will be made in what is an “emergency” midfielder rebuild under manager Antonio Conte.
This comes as summer addition and former Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne picked up a serious thigh tear that will leave him out until next year. The England international is destined to leave but after United rejected midfielder Mainoo’s request to leave the club on loan before the summer transfer window closed, it is down to the club as to whether he will depart.
