Romano: Ederson transfer delayed, final move to Man Utd depends on medical results

  /  DQD

According to Romano's report,  Ederson Silva's move to Manchester United has stalled, with no final decision despite an agreement being reached more than a month ago.

Manchester United still need to complete final approval. The total value of the deal is €45 million, comprising €40 million fixed plus €5 million in add-ons. Atalanta and Manchester United have reached a club-to-club agreement, and the player has also accepted a five-year contract, with salary terms agreed as well. The issue lies with the medical. Edson Silva previously underwent an initial quick medical while with the Brazil national team at the World Cup, but Manchester United have requested more in-depth checks. He has since completed the first round of his official medical in England, with further examinations to take place in the coming days, after which Manchester United will give Atalanta their final conclusion. Both Atalanta and the player are awaiting Manchester United’s final decision. As the official announcement continues to be delayed, doubts from outside are growing, but the medical results will be the final determining factor in whether this deal goes through.
