The current Premier League champions are yet to complete any first-team signings or departures this month but the transfer of Chiesa away from the club is creeping closer.

A return to the Serie A is on the cards for the Italian and reports state he is open to moving back to Juventus who are readying a bid to sign him.
Chiesa is rarely started by Reds boss Arne Slot, leading to questions about his future as he looks for consistent game time. Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, admitted he was confused by the treatment of Chiesa.
"I hoped he would have much more space, also because English football suits him well. There is more space there and they are less cautious.
“I watch all the Premier League matches and I say it for this reason. But they didn't use him much, beyond the small injuries he may have had. He, by the way, performed very, very well."
"The attackers are there at Liverpool, starting with Salah. I didn't really understand it.
"Chiesa didn't make enemies, quite the opposite: you saw the hugs he received when he scored. I heard all the statements: he always speaks well of the coach. The fans love him, in fact. It’s a mystery."
Juventus sold Chiesa to Liverpool for a fee in the region of €15M just 18 months ago but are now keen on bringing him back for a cut-price deal.
Reports claim that Juventus are now willing to offer Liverpool a loan deal with an obligation to buy, and the 28-year-old is ready to make the switch if it means getting on the pitch rather than sitting on the bench.
