At his presentation this morning, the midfielder admits he's seeking a step up in his career with this move to Rome.

Taylor said, "I played over 200 games there, I left because I had the ambition to achieve something more. Our goal is to return to Europe."
On his debut against Verona, he continued: "It went very well. I only trained once, and it wasn't easy. But at Ajax, we proposed a similar footballing approach, especially last year, so I felt comfortable.
"My first impressions are excellent, everyone gave me the best welcome and I'm happy.
"Lazio came with a great project. They're a great club, and I spoke with the president and the director, and they convinced me to come here.
"The fans are incredible. It was really nice to see their enthusiasm, and in Verona they put on an incredible show with their banners. I spoke to my teammates, but there was very little time; they're always trying to help me."
